More like 3.5 stars.. will definitely try another PD James..I enjoyed this, but not as much as I usually enjoy this author's Adam Dalgliesh books, possibly due simply to my lack of familiarity with the main character. Although these are fine endings elsewhere, I think that here, the depressive mood gets instilled far too early on, so that the reader is sunk in a morass of gloom by the end.An almost 16 hour audiobook takes you on journey with slowly building tension, intrigue, and horror. 3,679 views, added to favorites 16 times. Although this book has all the elements of a mystery that I would really like, it failed to engage my interest.
